Shillo Stories: Charlotte Hart

With a background in architecture, I've worked across a number of creative studios and have a strong interest in inter-disciplinary design. Since graduating Shillington, I've continued to work on editorial freelance projects, as well as environmental graphics.

Inspiring me

I recently went to a Magritte exhibition at the NSW Gallery, Sydney–his ideas are so extraordinary and fun but also there is so much logic to them.

On reflection

I used to hate computers, especially studying architecture and working on auto-cad. I would much rather work by hand. But figuring out how to make the software work for my process has been really important and fun and creates its own feedback loop.

What's cooking?

I'm teaching myself new programs through random ideas and projects, just to do a little practise everyday. Slowly working on improving my drawn animation, but without access to a scanner or much equipment right now it is going just one little step at a time.

Thanks Charlotte!
